Your email

This is where the link to your menu, the PNG and the SVG go. One menu per email address.
Publish the menu

Your page goes live exactly as it looks in the preview. Read it over first. Changes after publishing are something we do for clients – write to us and we will tell you how to set it up.

Where to put the code

Table cardsWhere the paper menu used to sit, not tucked behind the salt.
The windowPeople want to know what you serve and what it costs before coming in.
Takeaway bagsThey ordered through a platform. This is how they find the rest.
By the tillFor the queue, and for anyone waiting on a collection.

Printing it so it actually scans

At least 2 cm acrossSmaller and phone cameras struggle in low restaurant light.
Keep a clear marginText or artwork touching the code breaks the scan.
Dark code, light backgroundA pale code on a pale card will not read.
Test the printed versionScan the print, not the screen, on the table where it will live.

Keeping the menu current

The printed code never changes. It points at your page, and only the page behind it changes – so a new price does not mean reprinting the tables.

On the free tool the page stays as you published it. Changes after publishing are something we do for clients – write to us and we will tell you how to set it up.

Questions

One menu per email address, in one language. A page that stays live, and the QR code as a PNG and an SVG. No account and no card. The guest page carries one line at the foot saying the menu was made with IT Nest.
Not on the free tool. The page goes live exactly as you saw it in the preview, which is why the publish step asks you to read it over first. Changes after publishing are something we do for clients – send us what has changed and we will tell you how to set it up.
Not on the free menu, because the page stays as you published it. For clients we take a sold-out dish off the page when you tell us. You will not have a panel to do it in yourself – you message us and we handle it.
The free menu is in the one language you write it in. Translation, where the page follows the language on the guest's phone, is something we set up for clients. Write to us and we will tell you what it involves for your menu.
Dish photos are part of what we set up for clients, because they need shooting and preparing properly to help rather than hurt. The free menu is text, and a background image behind your name at the top.
One per email address on the free tool. Separate menus – lunch and dinner, a bar list, one per site – are something we set up for clients, along with keeping them all current.
Well enough to save you the typing, not well enough to trust blindly. That is why what it reads is shown to you first, laid out as categories, dishes and prices, for you to correct before any of it is accepted. A flat, well-lit photo reads better than one taken at an angle.
No. The code points at your page and the page stays live. Print it once and it keeps working.
The free menu is always its own page with its own code. One code on the table for both the menu and your reviews is something we set up for clients. Write to us and we will do it.

A menu that keeps up with your kitchen

The free menu is yours to keep. What we do for clients is everything that comes after it.

  • Menu changes done for you, usually the same working day
  • A dish sold out – tell us and we take it off the page
  • Guests read it in their own language
  • Dish photography, shot and prepared
  • Several menus – lunch, dinner, the bar, each site
  • The menu on your own site, with reviews and bookings

This is what we do for clients. Starter is £99 a month, with no setup fee and no minimum term; write to us and we will tell you what your menu needs.
